This life ain’t what
He thought it would be
He’s got a lot on his mind
As he drives through the city
Kid on the corner
Staring him down
Just a year ago
He felt welcome in this town
It ain’t always easy
Sometimes it’s just a shame
No responsibility
Needin’ someone to blame
He’ll take the call on Central
He’ll brave the avenue
He’ll be the one to protect
He will marche into the blue
A child’s hand she holds
Eyes are full of grace
Deep down she wonders how
She ever survived this place
She’ll take her somewhere safe
Where she can’t be hurt again
But to those who look on
You’ld think she wore a badge of sin
It ain’t always easy
Sometimes it’s just a shame
No responsibility
Needin’ someone to blame
She’ll take the call on Broadway
She’ll brave the avenue
She’ll be the one to protect
She marches into the blue
You never know day to day
What these angels run into
Brave and courageous
They march into the blue
Had a call on Western
In the middle of the night
Some said a robbery
Some said a fight
As he tried to help
The suspect drew...
Yet another hero...
Marched into the blue...

Sande Sue is an accomplished musician, historian and former educator. She will tell you she is retired, but her dedication to her music and her historical endeavors will convince you otherwise. From a young age, her father instilled the desire to create music within her heart. She made a promise to her father to keep bluegrass music alive and she fulfills this promise as often as possible. Sande Sue and her father each carry a background in law enforcement, as well, which propelled her into recording her version of Into the Blue. She has many musical projects in the works. We will be sharing links to her projects soon!
